4th April, London:Today P1 Marine Foundation has announced the launch of its Coast Explorer internship programme in partnership with The Crown Estate, Vattenfall and Canterbury City Council, to create awareness of career opportunities in the marine environmental sector.
This summer, P1 Marine Foundation and its Coast Explorer partners, will stage its second internship scheme, and is inviting school leavers, university students and graduates who are interested in developing a career in the marine environmental field to take part from June to September.
Each of the partners involved will provide a unique opportunity for the interns in their specialist sector of the marine industry that covers marine and coast related skills and knowledge, as well as external and on-the-job training in the areas of marine ecology, renewable energy, beach monitoring and community engagement.
The internship programme showcases the diversity of opportunities available within the marine industry and provides practical experience in the marine environment sector. The need to offer this opportunity to young people is widely recognised for personal development and improved job opportunities to enable a better future for the health of the UK coasts and seas.
